Getting around Palm Springs that week

Palm Springs runs a winter and spring season, then two April weekends — Coachella and Stagecoach — that fill every vehicle in the Coachella Valley and much of southern California. Those weekends are booked months ahead and shuttle work between the hotels and the festival grounds is contracted rather than reserved trip by trip.

Local note. Festival weekends need a designated drop and a designated pickup point, agreed in advance. Vehicles held on site cost less than vehicles trying to return through the traffic.

If the city is sold out, the nearest alternatives are within driving range: Los Angeles (about 2 hours), San Diego (about 2.5 hours), Orange County (about 2 hours). We run those legs as fixed-fare city-to-city transfers.
