Service
Hourly & As-Directed Service
Book the chauffeur rather than the trip. The car waits, your bags stay in it, and the day runs on your schedule instead of on a dispatcher's.
What "as directed" actually means
You reserve a block of hours — three is the usual minimum, four in some markets — and inside that block the vehicle is yours. You do not name the stops in advance, you do not re-book between them, and the chauffeur waits at the kerb or in a nearby garage while you are inside. Luggage, samples, coats and shopping stay in the car.
It is the most flexible product we sell and, past about four separate movements in a day, the cheapest. Four point-to-point transfers across a business day almost always cost more than a five-hour as-directed block, and they leave you waiting for a car between each one.
Who books it
Executives running a day of meetings across a metro. Investment teams on a road show. Realtors showing property. Attorneys moving between courthouses and client offices. Families on a shopping or sightseeing day. Wedding parties on the morning of. Medical families making a hospital day easier. Producers holding a car for talent between locations.
Overtime is billed in fifteen-minute increments at the same hourly rate, so running long is a small adjustment rather than a new booking.

Questions
Hourly & As-Directed Service: frequently asked
What is the minimum booking?
Three hours in most US markets and four in a small number of them. The desk will tell you which applies to your city before you pay.
Is there a mileage limit?
As-directed hourly work is priced on time within a metropolitan area. Long-distance running inside an hourly block is quoted separately — see city-to-city and charter.
Can I keep my luggage in the car?
Yes. That is one of the main reasons people book hourly rather than separate transfers.
What happens if we run over?
Overtime is charged in fifteen-minute increments at the same hourly rate. There is no penalty rate and no re-booking.
