Chauffeured ground transportation in Chicago
Chicago runs on conventions and on weather. McCormick Place is among the largest convention centres in the world and when it is full the whole city's ground transportation is committed; between shows the same city is easy. Winter adds a second variable, and a chauffeur who has driven a Lake Shore Drive whiteout is a different proposition from one who has not.
We work O'Hare and Midway as separate markets — the right airport depends entirely on where you are going — and run heavy hourly volume in the Loop, River North and the West Loop. Suburban corporate campuses in Schaumburg, Naperville and Deerfield are a regular part of the day rather than an exception.
What we are asked for most here
Airport transfers with the flight tracked and the pickup time moved to the actual arrival; hourly as-directed days where the car waits between meetings with the luggage still in it; corporate accounts with one monthly invoice across every city on the itinerary; and the occasion work — weddings, milestone birthdays, concerts and games — where the timeline matters more than the car.
Alongside those, Chicago generates the quieter work this company was built for: senior transportation with the chauffeur waiting through the appointment, non-emergency medical trips with an on-call return leg, and discreet private-client movements in unmarked vehicles.
One thing worth knowing before you book
During the largest McCormick Place shows the city genuinely runs out of vehicles. Exhibitors who book ground transportation with their booth space get a car; those who book in show week frequently do not.
City-to-city runs from Chicago
Between two and five hours apart, a chauffeured car beats flying door to door: no security line, no gate, no rental counter, and the car leaves from your door at the hour you choose. These are the routes booked from Chicago most often, with the times we actually plan against.
| Destination | Typical driving time | Book it as |
|---|---|---|
| Milwaukee | about 1.5 hours | City-to-city transfer |
| Indianapolis | about 3 hours | City-to-city transfer |
| Detroit | about 4.5 hours | City-to-city transfer |
| Lake Geneva | about 1.5 hours | City-to-city transfer |
| South Bend and Notre Dame | about 2 hours | City-to-city transfer |
Annual weeks that sell out Chicago
In these weeks the constraint is not price, it is whether a compliant vehicle exists at all. Book with the hotel, not with the flight.
| Event | Usual window | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| ASCO Annual Meeting | May or June | The world's largest clinical oncology meeting, and one of the events that fills every hotel room in Chicago. |
| RSNA Annual Meeting | late November | The radiology industry's annual meeting, held in the week after Thanksgiving. |
| Chicago Auto Show | February | The largest auto show in North America by exhibition space, with a media and industry preview before the public days. |
| Lollapalooza | late July to August | Four days in the middle of downtown Chicago, with Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive affected throughout. |
