Service
Wheelchair-Accessible Transportation
An accessible vehicle you can actually book, on the date you need it, with a chauffeur who has been trained on the securement system.
Reserved in advance, always
Accessible vehicles are a small share of any US chauffeur fleet and they cannot be conjured on the day. This class must be reserved ahead — a week is comfortable, forty-eight hours is usually workable, same-day is a matter of luck. The desk confirms the specific vehicle before it takes payment rather than after.
Tell us the chair: manual or powered, its width and length, and the occupied weight. Powered chairs vary enormously and a lift has a rated capacity. Getting this right at booking is what prevents a vehicle arriving that cannot carry the chair.
Securement and the ride itself
Vehicles use four-point securement with a separate occupant restraint, and chauffeurs are trained on the specific system in their vehicle. Companions ride in the same vehicle. Where the passenger prefers to transfer to a standard car seat and fold the chair into the trunk, an SUV is often the more comfortable choice and costs less — the desk will say so.

Questions
Wheelchair-Accessible Transportation: frequently asked
How far in advance should I book?
A week is comfortable and forty-eight hours is usually workable. Accessible vehicles are genuinely scarce, so earlier is better.
What do you need to know about the wheelchair?
Whether it is manual or powered, its width and length, and the occupied weight — lifts have rated capacities and powered chairs vary a great deal.
Can a companion travel in the same vehicle?
Yes, always.
Is it more expensive than a standard vehicle?
Rates are higher than a sedan because the vehicles cost more and are scarcer. If the passenger can transfer to a car seat, an SUV is usually cheaper and more comfortable — the desk will tell you if that applies.
