Accessibility
Two things are meant by accessibility here: the website, and the vehicles.
This website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is built with semantic HTML, a visible skip link, keyboard-operable navigation, text alternatives on meaningful images, colour contrast tested against the AA thresholds, and layouts that reflow to 320px without horizontal scrolling. Tables that cannot reflow scroll within their own container rather than breaking the page.
If any part of this site is difficult to use with your assistive technology, email support@americanlimousine.services and tell us which page and which technology. We will fix it and reply to you.
Accessible transportation
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicles with ramps or lifts and four-point securement, in the markets listed on the accessible vehicle page
- Chauffeurs trained on the securement system fitted to their specific vehicle
- Companion seating in the same vehicle, always
- Service animals carried with no surcharge and no advance notice required
- Door-through-door assistance as standard on senior and medical bookings rather than as an extra
- Bookings taken by telephone for anyone who would rather not use the website
Booking an accessible vehicle
Accessible vehicles are a small share of any US chauffeur fleet and must be reserved in advance — a week is comfortable, forty-eight hours is usually workable, same-day is a matter of luck. Tell the desk whether the chair is manual or powered, its width and length, and the occupied weight, because lifts have rated capacities. The desk confirms the specific vehicle before it takes payment rather than after.
