Lollapalooza Transportation
Chicago, IL · usually late July to August
Reserve online · fixed all-in fare · instant confirmation
Why this week is different
Four days in the middle of downtown Chicago, with Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive affected throughout.
Venue. Grant Park.
Booking advice. Grant Park sits between the hotels and the lake, so the closures cut the natural routes. Cross-street pickups are agreed daily.
What we provide during Lollapalooza
- Airport meets on the peak arrival and departure days, with a greeter desk for larger programmes
- Executive sedans and SUVs for individual and small-group movement
- Sprinters that keep a delegation together between the venue, the hotel and the customer dinner
- Published-interval shuttle loops between hotel blocks and the venue, reinforced at the two peaks
- Hospitality staging for suites, offsites and after-parties with a curfew that is actually held
- Setup and teardown runs outside normal service hours for exhibitor crews
- Consolidated billing per programme, per exhibitor or per department
Getting around Chicago that week
Chicago runs on conventions and on weather. McCormick Place is among the largest convention centres in the world and when it is full the whole city's ground transportation is committed; between shows the same city is easy. Winter adds a second variable, and a chauffeur who has driven a Lake Shore Drive whiteout is a different proposition from one who has not.
Local note. During the largest McCormick Place shows the city genuinely runs out of vehicles. Exhibitors who book ground transportation with their booth space get a car; those who book in show week frequently do not.
If the city is sold out, the nearest alternatives are within driving range: Milwaukee (about 1.5 hours), Indianapolis (about 3 hours), Detroit (about 4.5 hours). We run those legs as fixed-fare city-to-city transfers.

Questions
Lollapalooza: frequently asked
When is Lollapalooza held?
Usually in late July to August, at Grant Park. Exact dates move year to year and are set by the organiser, so the desk confirms the published dates before quoting.
How far ahead should I book transportation for Lollapalooza?
Grant Park sits between the hotels and the lake, so the closures cut the natural routes. Cross-street pickups are agreed daily.
What vehicles are available during Lollapalooza?
Executive sedans and SUVs for individual travel, executive Sprinters for delegations of up to fourteen, and mini buses and motorcoaches for shuttle blocks. Availability in this week is genuinely finite, so the class you get is the class you booked early.
Do you run shuttles during Lollapalooza?
Yes — published-interval hotel-to-venue loops sized to your headcount, with vehicles added at the opening and closing peaks rather than run at full strength all day.
