Getting around Miami that week
Miami runs two calendars. From December to April the city is full: Art Basel, the boat show, the Formula 1 weekend, the Open, the cruise season at its peak and a private aviation ramp at Opa-locka that is genuinely out of parking. From June to October it is quiet and inexpensive. Ground transportation prices and availability follow that curve exactly.
Local note. Art Basel week and the Grand Prix weekend both close roads and fill every SUV in the county. Cruise embarkation on a Saturday in season adds another few thousand vehicle movements on top.
If the city is sold out, the nearest alternatives are within driving range: Fort Lauderdale (about 40 minutes), Palm Beach (about 1.5 hours), Naples (about 2 hours). We run those legs as fixed-fare city-to-city transfers.
