Getting around New Orleans that week

New Orleans has one of the largest contiguous exhibition halls in the country at the Morial Convention Center, a cruise terminal on the river, and a festival calendar — Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence — that deliberately closes the streets. Parade routes are published in advance and a chauffeur who knows them is worth considerably more than one who does not.

Local note. Parade routes are published in advance and close whole corridors for hours. During Mardi Gras every booking is planned around the route sheet, and hotel access changes daily.

If the city is sold out, the nearest alternatives are within driving range: Baton Rouge (about 1.5 hours), Gulfport and Biloxi (about 1.5 hours), Houston (about 5.5 hours). We run those legs as fixed-fare city-to-city transfers.
